No Tasks Shown In Playbooks for Today, While Yesterday There Were Multiple Future Tasks

Overview

You may encounter an issue that you have no tasks for today in Playbooks, while you had multiple Future tasks displayed when checking the day before.

Solution

This issue may happen if you paused all your records yesterday for one day (e.g., after making a call) and there is a Wait Time added to the Play after the step/task you have completed. Hence, after the Pause for one day has expired, the Wait Time added to the Play resumes and the record is still being shown as paused (no tasks are displayed for the day).

You can remove all of the required records from being Paused to proceed working on your tasks:

  1. From the Playbooks extension, click on the menu button and select People.
  2. Filter all of the Paused records.

  3. Select all of the records you want to unpause.
  4. Click Actions and select Resume People.

Additionally, you may want to stop putting records on Pause after performing a task to avoid such cases in future. Also, you can check with your manager if Wait Time is added after all tasks or only after specific ones to understand if you should manually pause records after specific steps.
