Assign or Migrate Direct Inbound Numbers (DINs)

Overview

You need to assign/ add an additional Direct Inbound Number or migrate a DIN from one organization to another to be able to take Inbound calls, send and receive SMS in Playbooks. which can be:

  • SMS-capable
  • Toll-Free Numbers (TFNs)
  • Local or Global
  • Have a specific Area Code

Information

Contact your Account Manager and provide information about the number(s) you would like to assign to your account:

  • Local/Global
  • SMS enabled - this feature is required to send and receive SMS in Playbooks
  • Area Code
  • Toll-Free
  • Any other requirements for the number(s).

An Account Manager may contact SaaS directly or they will open a support ticket to request DIN(s) to be assigned to a customer or migrated from one organization to another.

Prerequisites

  • Customer Company Name, ID number, and POD (can be checked in the Provision UI Tool if not provided by the Account Manager)
  • Information about the requested number(s) from the customer.

Solution

If AM submits a support request to add a DIN, escalate it to SaaS Operations (but only after the numbers are bought by the BU, please see the routing table for more details) according to the routing table.
