Overview
You are trying to use merge fields in your email tasks, but you find that the merge fields are not switching over to/populating with the contact's information when the contact is selected.
Solution
This behavior is observed when you copy and paste the text for the merge fields into the email composer. To solve this issue, you shall insert the merge field manually. To do so:
- Open an email or email template.
- Click the merge field button on the bottom bar. (The icon looks like two arrows merging.)
- Click on your desired merge field.
