Unable to Send a Test Email

Overview

You are trying to send a test email (using templates or not), but you are unable to do so. Instead of sending successfully, you may receive an error message that says "failed to send".

 

Information

The fact that you are not able to send test emails can be related to multiple root causes. To solve this issue, follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure that you have the Playbooks extension installed.

  2. Make sure your email is connected to Playbooks. When your email is not connected to Playbooks, you won't be able to send test emails as well. See Agent Email Setup for more information on how to connect your email.

  3. Records must be added to Playbooks. The option to send a test email will be available once a contact, lead, opportunity, or account from your CRM has been added to Playbooks. To add records to your Playbooks instance, make sure you check the Adding Records to Playbooks KB Article.
