How to create, manage, and use a new pre-recorded voice message for voicemail

Overview

You are trying to add a new recorded message that can be played as a pre-recorded voicemail message while making calls in Playbooks.

Or, you have just completed a call, and now you want to leave a pre-recorded voicemail. You want to know where you can find the option to leave a voicemail

Information

This tool can be found in your phone settings:

  1. Open Playbooks
  2. Click the menu button (Playbooks logo)
  3. Click Settings
  4. Click Phone
  5. Scroll down to the Pre-recorded Voicemail Messages section

To create a new message

  1. Click Create a new message
  2. Name your message
  3. Click Next and wait for your phone to ring
  4. Answer the call and follow the prompts:
    Press 2 to record a new message
    Press # to end the recording
    Press 1 to review your message
  5. Hang up your phone and click Done on your computer screen.

To re-record a message

  1. Find the message you want to re-record
  2. Click Edit
  3. Click Next and wait for your phone to ring
  4. Answer the call and follow the prompts:
    Press 2 to record a new message
    Press # to end the recording
    Press 1 to review your message
  5. Hang up your phone and click Done on your computer screen.

To delete a message

  1. Find the message you want to delete
  2. Click the trash can icon
  3. Click Delete

To use a message as a voicemail

  1. Establish a phone call
  2. Listen for the automated voicemail message, or skip to the beep by pressing a specific button:
    Most corporate voicemail systems use pound (#), one (1), or star (*)
    For T-Mobile, press pound (#)
    For AT&T, press seven (7)
    For Verizon, press star (*)
  3. Click the Voicemail button in the Next Bar
  4. Select the pre-recorded voicemail message you want to use
  5. Disposition the call and click Save
