Overview
If you have created a Play, added email steps, and enrolled records in it you might notice that there are too many due emails (e.g.thousands or even hundreds of thousands.).
Solution
This usually happens due to too many email steps along with missing wait intervals between those steps. Total amount of due emails is counted as the number of enrolled records multiplied by the number of email steps without wait interval.
Exclude excessive email steps and add wait time between required email steps.
For several technical and security reasons plays cannot be edited once there have been records enrolled in them. So the way to fix this would be to remove everyone from the play, then delete this play and build one with the required steps and wait intervals between them.
