Will Reporting for a Template Work if the Template Is Detached from an Email?

You have created an Email Template for a Play step and want to know if the Reporting feature for this template will work when the template is detached or removed from an email.

Information

If you detach an email from a template in a Play, reports for the source template will no longer work. However, you will still be able to run reports based on the Play and Play steps.

Also, you can use placeholders within a template so that reps could adjust the email before sending it to prospects (without detaching the template). You can have open-ended placeholders where the rep types whatever they want, or you can add default options for reps to pick from. In this scenario, reporting based on the email template will work properly.
